Episode Five – Designing a new garden – the hard work begins

@MikeTheGardener hasn’t wasted any time at all…   In Episode 5 of the ‘How to design your dream garden‘ series Mike takes us on a tour of his almost complete garden redesign project.  The groundworks are done, the lawns are down, the topsoil is in the beds and a selection of small trees and shrubs are placed in situ ready to plant (and breath).   Mike also gives us some tips on what to plant in the shady areas of your garden and what to plant in full sun.

If you’ve just moved home or are thinking of designing a new garden then this is an absolute must watch.  We’re hoping to learn a lot about the garden design fundamentals from Mike and put them into practice in our own garden.
